Cookies
Effective 27 October 2026
eTools does not set an advertising cookie and does not use a third-party analytics cookie. A few values can be stored in this browser so a tool can continue.
1. Stored in this browser
- Theme, under the usual theme key, so the next visit can match light or dark. It is not sent as a record of who you are.
- etools-visitor, a random id. Finishing a tool can send this id with the tool name. The file is not sent. See the privacy page for when that happens.
- ganvya-engineering-studio, the project in the engineering studio, if you have used it.
- Images you add in the PDF editor, in a browser database named etool-pdf-editor. The PDF you opened is not kept there.
- The background-removal model, in a cache named etools-cutout-model-v1, after the first download.
These are stored by the browser on your device. They are not an account.
2. How to remove them
The settings page has a clear-data control. It removes the values above, including the cache and the editor database, and then reloads the page. The tools still work. The theme returns to the device setting, and the next finished tool can create a new id.
You can also clear site data for etools.ganvya.com in the browser’s own settings. That removes the same values.
The PDF editor has a separate control, on that tool, which can clear only the images kept for the editor.
