Plaster Quantity Calculator
Estimate plaster from area, thickness and coats, then split cement and sand with the ratio you enter and a mortar dry factor of 1.33.
Free forever.
Plaster volume is area × thickness × coats. Cement and sand use a dry factor of 1.33 for mortar, then the ratio you enter. Concrete uses 1.54 because of the coarse aggregate.

How to use the Plaster Quantity Calculator
- Enter the area, thickness and number of coats.
- Enter cement and sand parts. The start is 1:5.
- Add wastage and read bags and sand.
Questions
Does thickness include every coat?
The thickness is one coat. The number of coats multiplies the volume.
Why is there a dry factor?
Mortar and plaster use 1.33, the usual dry bulk factor for cement and sand. Concrete uses 1.54 because the coarse aggregate bulks more.
