Rebar Cutting Length Calculator
Add the out-to-out legs of a bar and subtract a deduction for each bend.
Free forever.
Cutting length is the sum of the out-to-out leg lengths, minus a deduction for each bend. Blank deduction uses 2 × diameter, a common shop allowance for a 90° bend.

How to use the Rebar Cutting Length Calculator
- Enter each leg in millimetres, separated by commas.
- Enter the diameter. Leave bends blank to put one bend between each pair of legs.
- Leave the deduction blank for 2 × diameter, or type the deduction from your schedule.
Questions
What is the deduction?
It is the length you take off for each bend so the cut bar matches the out-to-out shape. A blank field uses 2 × diameter. That is a shop allowance, not a code rule.
Can I enter a straight bar?
Yes. One leg and zero bends returns that leg as the cutting length.
