How a password is generated here
Where the characters come from, why the page does not store them, and where to keep the result.
The generator builds a character password from the sets you turn on. It uses the browser’s cryptographic random source, and it rejects draws that would make some characters more likely than others. It does not use a word list.
What is not stored
The password stays on the page. Generating another one replaces the value in the tab. It is not sent anywhere, and it is not written to an account, because there is no account. Copy it into a password manager. A long password from a large alphabet is the point of this tool. It is not a passphrase of words.
Turn on “avoid ambiguous characters” when someone will read the password aloud or type it from paper. The length has to be long enough to include every set you selected, from 8 to 64 characters.
