Which separators are recognised?
Comma, semicolon and tab. The separator that appears most often outside quotes is the one that is used.
Can a cell contain a line break?
Yes, when the cell is wrapped in quotes. A quote inside a cell is written as two quotes, which is the usual CSV rule.
