Calendar File
Create a calendar file from a title, date and time. Timed events are stored in UTC so they stay on the clock time you chose.
Free forever.
How to make a calendar file
- Add a title, a date and, unless it is all day, a start and end.
- Add a location or notes if the invitation needs them.
- Download the .ics file and open it in a calendar app, or copy the text.
Questions
Why is the time stored in UTC?
A UTC time is one absolute moment, so the event does not drift when someone in another timezone opens it. The clock time you enter is the time on this computer.
Why does an all-day event end the next day in the file?
Calendar apps treat the end date as exclusive. A one-day event on 27 October is stored as starting that day and ending on 28 October.
